Managing the cultural landscape
in Utladalen
Utladalen National Park Center carries out management and facilitation measures in the Utladalen landscape conservation area through the Foundation called Stiftinga Utladalen Naturhus. Mowing, supervising grazing animals, trimming trees and maintaining trails are some of the tasks we perform on behalf of the Norwegian Nature Conservation Agency.
How to behave inside the national park
The goal of establishing protected areas is to preserve or enhance natural values for the future. Therefore, the nature in these areas is protected from damage and disturbance.
There can be major interventions such as building cabins and planting new trees, but even the small things we do, such as breaking branches, taking photos with wild reindeer or picking rocks inside the national park, can be against the rules.
Here you will find information about what applies where you are traveling.
